When most people think of the cinema they tend to think about Hollywood or even theCannes Film Festival.  However, that is not the only place to see cutting edge cinema.  In fact, the capital city of Germany hosts one of the best film festivals in the world.  The Berlin International Film Festival draws thousands of visitors ever year.  For those who have a passion for the cinema this is the perfect place to head to for your next vacation.

The Berlin International Film Festival is sometimes referred to as Berlinale.  This festival attracts both fans and filmmakers to it.  The event itself consists of gala's screenings, and world premiers.  The films shown at the film festival range from big budget blockbusters to smaller and more intimate art films.  With all of this the Berlin International Film Festival is a cinema lovers dream.
